Scholarship Programs
The Ministry of Education of the P. R. China (hereafter referred to as the MOE) established the Chinese Government Scholarship-University Summer School Program. The China Scholarship Council (hereafter referred to as the CSC), entrusted by the MOE, holds the responsibility for the Program’s verification, approval, and routine management. Huazhong Agricultural University (hereafter referred to as HZAU) is a participant in the Program. HZAU is entrusted by the MOE to recruit international students for summer school program.
Chinese Government Scholarship for summer school program cover tuition, and accommodation fees, medical insurance and provide living expenses as indicated below.
- For Ph.D. students and higher: 1750 CNY
- For Undergraduate students: 1500 CNY
Please note: This scholarship does not cover travel expenses between your home country and China.
Steps for Apply Online
Select Your Program
Select the Summer School Program based on your previous qualifications and future research interests. Get a recommendation letter from your home university or institute. Gather all required application materials and submit them by the deadline.
Submit the Application
For Chinese Government Scholarships (CSC), Summer School program applicants must apply on college summer school admission portals. We recommend checking the specific requirements for summer school program and submit all the required application materials accordingly.
Review the Submission
Once the college receives all the required application materials, the college performs multiple rounds of review to shortlist the most relevant and talented candidates for the summer school scholarship program.
Interview Process
Shortlist candidates may be required to appear for a one-on-one interview to present their previous experience and discuss their future research interests. After the interview, the Selection Committee will make the final decision on the candidates for the summer school scholarship program.
CSC Assessment
The Selection Committee forwards the recommended candidates to the Ministry of Education for the Chinese Government Scholarships (CSC) to award the summer school scholarship and prepare the necessary documents for the visa.
Final Decision
The University or College announces the final list of the selected candidates for the Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) Summer School Program and delivers admission and visa notices.
