Huazhong Agricultural University welcomed Professor Ryutaro Tao, a distinguished member of the International Advisory Committee (IAC) from Kyoto University, on March 10th. The visit, aimed at enhancing educational and scientific collaboration, was marked by a meeting with President Zhaohu Li.

During the meeting, President Li expressed his appreciation for Professor Tao’s efforts in enhancing the educational and scientific collaboration between the two institutions. He highlighted the upcoming 2024 International Advisory Committee meeting and emphasized the importance of international partnerships in advancing global higher education and promoting peace.

Professor Tao reciprocated the sentiment, committing to further contribute to the bilateral relationship in research and academic development.

The partnership, initiated in 1993, has seen significant cooperation in research, education, and joint ventures, backed by Kyoto University’s prestigious standing in horticulture research.

The event was attended by representatives from various departments, reinforcing the commitment to a shared vision for academic excellence and international cooperation.
