ISHPB2024
The 2024 International Symposium of Horticultural Plant Biology will be held from October 12 to 16 in Wuhan, China. This onsite symposium, now in its fifth iteration, serves as a key platform for scholars, researchers, and professionals to exchange knowledge and promote collaboration on the latest advancements in horticultural plant biology.
The symposium will feature presentations and discussions on pivotal topics such as plant cell and developmental biology, plant grafting and cell-to-cell communication, plant resistance biology, fruit quality, and molecular breeding technology. Participants will include senior scientists and emerging scholars from renowned institutions across the globe, representing countries like the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Australia, Mexico, New Zealand, Japan, and more.
Horticultural plants, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers, play an essential role in human health, rural development, and environmental sustainability. However, compared to widely studied model plants like Arabidopsis and rice, horticultural crops have historically received less scientific attention. This symposium seeks to address that gap by promoting international collaboration and advancing research systems for these vital crops.
Young researchers and students are especially encouraged to participate and engage with experts in the field. The symposium is set to inspire new ideas, drive innovation, and strengthen the global horticultural community. It aims to shape the future of horticultural research and provide solutions for pressing agricultural challenges, contributing to sustainable development and environmental conservation.
This event represents a unique opportunity to explore cutting-edge research, form international partnerships, and accelerate the growth and impact of horticultural plant biology on a global scale.
