International Symposium of Horticultural Plant Biology 2023

Horticultural plants, such as fruits, vegetables, and flowers, are vital for human health, as well as for rural development and environmental sustainability. However, compared to model plants (e.g., Arabidopsis and rice), horticultural plants have received less attention and lack a systematic and mature research system. To address this gap, we are pleased to announce the International Symposium of Horticultural Plant Biology, which will be held online/onsite from November 8 to 9, 2023. This symposium is a platform for academic exchange and collaboration among researchers from different countries and disciplines who share a common interest in horticultural science and technology. The symposium will cover a wide range of topics, including horticultural genomics, horticultural products quality formation and regulation, stress response, horticultural plant species origin and evolution, hormone signaling, epigenetics, transgenic and gene editing technologies, etc. We have invited distinguished speakers from leading research institutions around the world to share their latest findings and insights on the frontier of horticultural plant biology. Moreover, we also welcome young scholars and graduate students to present their work and interact with seniors. Through this symposium, we hope to reinforce international cooperation and communication in the global horticultural community, showcase the state-of-the-art research achievements and applications of horticultural science and technology, and promote the innovation and development of horticultural disciplines. We believe that this symposium will not only enhance the research level and international vision of the participants but also demonstrate the significant contributions of China’s horticultural research to the world.
