Huazhong Agricultural University Named “Outstanding Service Unit” at Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Resource Sharing Service Work Exchange Meeting

Huazhong Agricultural University has been recognized as an “Outstanding Service Unit” by the Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Department during the 2022 Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Resource Sharing Service Work Exchange Meeting held on March 31st. The award acknowledges the university’s remarkable contributions to the 2022 Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Resource Open Sharing Management and Service Work. Additionally, four teachers, namely Hu Zhe, Qu Xiaolu, Chang Jing, and Liu Qiao, were recognized as “Outstanding Individuals.”

During the event, Han Yingxia, the Deputy Director of the Financial and Asset Management Department and Director of the Equipment and Asset Management Office of the university, delivered a keynote speech entitled “Breaking Through the Inertia of Thinking, Adhering to Multiple Measures, and Exploring the Scientific Management Model of Large Instrument Open Sharing.” She discussed the university’s progress and effectiveness in the area of large instrument open sharing, focusing on four key aspects: strengthening the demonstration of large instrument configuration, strengthening the joint management of instrument platforms, strengthening the effective use of evaluation results, and strengthening the support and guarantee of open sharing.

The Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Instrument Equipment Collaboration and Sharing Platform, one of the fundamental technology resource platforms established by the Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Department, guarantees the supply of scientific research instrument resources according to the principle of “all-inclusive and all-shared.” The platform has over 1,780 units, 1,449 laboratories, and 19,928 sets of equipment worth more than 100,000 yuan. It is seamlessly connected with national large instrument platforms, significantly enhancing the guarantee capability of scientific research instrument-sharing resources. Huazhong Agricultural University is one of the earliest universities to access this platform and maintains good cooperation with it.

In 2022, the Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Department named six units as “Outstanding Service Units,” 12 units as “Good Service Units,” and 78 individuals as “Outstanding Individuals.”
