Plants have an enormous morphotypic diversity, even they come from the same species. For example, the mustard, an AABB allopolyploid Brassica plant, has evolved and domesticated to multiple ecotypes, such as root-type, stem-type, seed-type, leaf-type. I’m interested in the molecular mechanism underlying the establishment of the important traits in mustard, including leaf heading, swollen stem and root, and so on. I hope the findings of our study will facilitate both the science of plant development and plant breeding.
