She is currently associate professor and Master Supervisor of Huazhong Agricultural University. Her research focuses mainly on molecular and biochemical regulation of secondary metabolites including coumarins, carotenoids, etc. for improving fruit quality and health promoting properties of citrus. She has contributed more than 60 research papers to peer reviewed journals including The Plant Journal, Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, Postharvest Biology and Technology, etc. She has been awarded the first prize of Science Award from the Ministry of Education(the third accomplisher),the first prize of the National Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fishery Harvest Award(the third accomplisher),the first prize of Scientific Research achievements of Shennong China Agricultural Science and Technology Award(the fifth accomplisher)
