Brief Introduction
Prof. Zhengjie Wan, doctoral supervisor, is a Post Scientist of National Vegetable Industry Technology System and researcher of the college of Horticultural and Forestry Sciences in Huazhong Agricultural University. He got his Ph.D degree in 2008, and used to studied in the university of Western Australia in 2006-2007 during his doctoral period. He focuses on cruciferous vegetables (mustard, purple cai-tai) genetics and breeding, genetic improvement of important agronomic characters of mustard and molecular basic research on male sterility and heterosis of mustard. he has presided over and participated in 15 scientific research projects, such as National Characteristic Vegetable Industry Technology System Project, National Key Research and Development Program (Cruciferae Cegetable Breeding Project), National Science and Technology Support Program, National Natural Science Foundation, National Spark Program, Ministry of Agriculture 948, Hubei Natural Science Foundation etc. He has published 51 papers and received 4 scientific and technological awards of Hubei Province, 6 national authorized invention patents. Meanwhile, He has breeded 7 new varieties of vegetables (mustard and cabbage) and established 1 local standard of Hubei Province. He serves as a reviewer of Theor Appl Genet, Plant Growth Regulation, Euphytica, Scientia Horticulturae, Acta Horticulturae Sinica and Molecular Breeding.
