Jizhong (Alex) Shao is a Full Professor in the Department of landscape architecture, Huazhong Agricultural University, China. My research focuses on design theories of modern and contemporary landscape architecture, and urban design in large scale. His current research projects address domestic and international issues in the areas of urban underground space planning and design, and tools of low carbon and green city developments. He also has extensive design experience in China and Australia. He has been a Corporate Member of the Planning Institute of Australia and was elected Council Member of the Underground Space Sub-Society of CSRME.
