Graduated in 1985 to teach in HZAU, engaged in the breeding of virus-free excellent varieties of citrus, participated in the extremely early varieties Citrus reticulata Banco “Guoqing No. 1” and “Guoqing No. 4” breeding, in 1988 won the Ministry of Agriculture science and technology progress prize (the fifth complete adult) and 1994 won the National Education Commission science and technology progress first prize (the fifth complete adult).
During the period of studying for master’s degree, she carried out the research on virus-free citrus shoot-tip micropropagation grafting and pathogen identification of Huanglongbing (HLB) disease for Guangxi Agricultural Reclamation Bureau. During the period of doctoral study, she carried out the research on high content of medicinal ingredients in Ginkgo biloba by biotechnology and the research on antibodies to hapten dendrobitin. From 2000 to 2002, she went to Japan for senior visiting scholar to study the construction and transformation of papaya coat protein gene, which improved the efficiency of gene transformation. In 2009, she was awarded “China Agricultural Science and Technology Award (9/20)” by the excellent innovation team of the Ministry of Agriculture. In 2010, she participated in the project research of “Research and Genetic Improvement of Citrus Germplasm Resources” and “Citrus Model Cultivation and Storage Technology” led by Academician Deng Xiuxin of the Ministry of Education. Participated in the Hubei Province key project “Application of poly-γ-glutamic acid in fruit trees” (ZDNDD17) project research, long-term cooperation with grassroots, and providing technical support for farmers to increase production and income. From 2010 to 2015, she participated in the public welfare project of the Ministry of Agriculture, and developing light and simplified detoxification technology of citrus. Since 2006, she has hosted 5 National Natural Science Foundation projects (No.30571277, No.30771477, No.3572099, No. 31272146, No.3872064), the molecular mechanism of citrus HLB disease control based on key enzyme of fatty acid metabolism was mainly studied, and the crystal structure data of 4 key pathogenic proteins (ID: 4NK4, 4NK5, 4ZW0, 6KCF) were analyzed by combining structural biology with the study of citrus HLB disease resistance mechanism, and published on protein database (PDB). Based on the structural characteristics, small molecule inhibitors were screened for citrus pretreatment to improve the efficiency of shoot-tip detoxification. She presided over a number of cross-cutting projects on citrus Huanglongbing disease viru-free and pathogen detection. In 2018 and 2021, participated in the national major research and development project “Research and Demonstration of Prevention and control Technology of Citrus HLB Disease Interception Belt and Low Endemic Area in Central China” project (2018YFD0201500), From 2020 to 2022, she participated in the “Research and Development of virus-free plants Breeding Technology for Citrus and Banana” project (No. 2019YFD1001802), and from 2021 to 2024, she was funded by the national major research and development project: “Innovation of pathogenic mechanism and Resistance Germplasm of Citrus HLB Pathogen” (2021YFD1400800-1). After the screening of beneficial microorganisms, the citrus plants treatment can improve the resistance of citrus to HLB disease and improve the virus-free efficiency of citrus. She has published more than 30 professional papers, obtained 6 national invention patents, and registered 5 strains of Chinese collection culture. 2019-2020 were supported by the “three Regions” talent plan of Hubei Province.
