Brief Introduction
My research Interests are concentrated on discovering the mechanism of short juvenility and strong cold resistance characters in trifoliate orange. For more than 20 years, we have constructed thousands of hybridization segregants using Poncirus trifoliata with other citrus plants, including F1, F2, and BC1 generations. Via genetic linkage map and GWAS analysis, we try to locate the genes controlling flower differentiation and dormancy in winter to overcome cold season in some special trifoliate oranges. Some progresses have been made, but more mysteries need to discover.
