Scholarship Programs
The Ministry of Education of the P. R. China (hereafter referred to as the MOE) established the Chinese Government Scholarship-University Postgraduate Program. The China Scholarship Council (hereafter referred to as the CSC), entrusted by the MOE, holds the responsibility for the Program’s verification, approval, and routine management. Huazhong Agricultural University (hereafter referred to as HZAU) is a participant in the Program. HZAU is entrusted by the MOE to recruit outstanding international students for graduate studies.
Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) established the Huazhong Agricultural University Scholarships (HZAUS) to encourage and support international students to study at HZAU for Master’s and Doctoral degrees.
Chinese Government Scholarships and Huazhong Agricultural University scholarships cover tuition, and accommodation fees and provide monthly living expenses as indicated below.
Chinese Government Scholarships
- Ph.D. Program, 3500 CNY/month
- Master’s Program, 3000 CNY/month
Huazhong Agricultural University Scholarships
- Ph.D. Program, 2500 CNY/month
- Master’s Program, 2100 CNY/month
Steps for Apply Online
Select Your Program
Select the most suitable degree program based on your previous qualifications and future research interests. Contact a research team or professor to serve as your supervisor and get an acceptance letter to apply for admission.
Submit the Application
For Chinese Government Scholarships (CSC), applicants must apply on both the CSC and HZAU admission portals. For Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) Scholarships, applicants need to apply only at the HZAU admission portal.
Review the Submission
Once the university receives all the required application materials, the university performs multiple rounds of review to shortlist the most relevant and talented candidates for the scholarship program.
Interview Process
Shortlist candidates may be required to appear for a one-on-one interview to present their previous experience and discuss their future research plans. After the interview, the Selection Committee will make the final decision on the candidates for the scholarship program.
CSC Assessment
The Selection Committee forwards the recommended candidates to the Ministry of Education for the Chinese Government Scholarships (CSC) or to the University Scholarship Committee for the Huazhong Agricultural University Scholarships (HZAUS).
Final Decision
The University or College announces the Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) and Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) Scholarship awardees and deliver admission and visa notices.
